1. I don't like housework
2. I am a procrastinator
3. I'm NOT a supermom
4. There have been attempts on my part to change the above, to no avail so far.
Here I am, still messy. Lovable, but poor homemaking skills. Reads like the first lines of a personal ad - and a very bad one, at that. Who would be interested? And yet, judging from the comments on this blog, I am obviously not alone. But where are my messy soul mates? My un-domestic sisters?
I had to take action. So ladies (and gentlemen, if so inclined - yes Shawn, that's you ;-)):
If you don't fit with the "sparkly counters" crowd...
If you don't have the time (or inclination) to clean in a rare moment of peace...
If your house is very "lived in"?
Come join me.

This is where you belong :-)

I like clean, but can't achieve it myself. When I lived in a studio apartment by myself! I paid a guy to come every week and clean it. That's how bad at I am. It's fine. Do woman of professional accomplishment brag out clean counters? Do Oprah and Barbara Walters, etc love to clean? doubt it.
I am WITH you. In fact, so much so that now my entire weekend will be spent cleaning. Because when you put it off for two months and see the cat wandering around with random lint and other things stuck to his fur, it's time to pull it together. Blech.
Have you visited the FlyLady?? my house was a complete mess, I'm a procrastinator and just lousy at household chores but her system can just work for anyone. Hope you give it a try!
